Lures are equipped with one or more single, double, or treble hooks that are used to hook fish when they attack the lure. When a lure is used for casting, it is continually cast out and retrieved, the retrieve making the lure swim or produce a popping action. When reading this article, hopefully you will find the best freshwater fishing lure that is almost guaranteed to catch a fish.

You should find the lures you have confidence in and apply them to the proper situations so they produce. You can load the boat one day with a lure and not catch another fish for a year on it. Fishing is fun but it is also a learning experience.

First, it is depending on what fish your looking for. I always fish for carnivore fish like Salmon, trout and etc. And almost every time a sliver blue fox lure works wonders.

You should try using a rooster tail spinner. You just can’t go wrong with a rooster tail, just make sure you use a ball bearing swivel to avoid line twists. Of course they're are no guarantees when it comes to fishing, but a white Rooster tail works on just about everything in fresh water. The rooster tail or the curly tailed grub are my two favorite baits. They catch bluegill, bass, crappie, trout, maybe a walleye or two. Very good baits.

Rapalas are almost guaranteed in any situation. I use these 75 % of the time. There are a variety of styles and colors but for all around fishing success. You can try a #7 floating white/black back. The original rap in black/white is a proven fool proof lure that gets results. Of course I have many many color variations and sizes, floaters, sinkers, jointed and suspending plus the shad raps to cover any situation of depth or current. It has caught more world record fish than any other lure.

Be sure to use a split ring or loop knot to give it the best action. You can use this on the surface, popping it like a wounded bait fish, you can retrieve it fast or slow to make it swim (actually it has a built in action) or you can troll it. You can even weight it like a carolina rig and drag it along the bottom.

Well if you are a plastic bait kinda person if you wanna catch bass a popper bait or any types of spinners or if you don't mind spending some money go buy the banjo minnow they work for me i caught a 6 pound 2 oz bass last year with it.

Hope this helps.
